“You have to try the Amaretto Sour...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I've been to Clyde Common many times - it's an excellent place to bring people from out of town. I've been for lunch a few times recently and if they have the fried chicken sandwich on the menu it is the most tender, tasty thing ever. That being said, my wife and I just went the other night for a quick appetizer (chicken wings) and 2 amaretto sours.

If you have not had the amaretto sour from Clyde Common they are incredible. Made with whiskey, which they will likely warn you, I promise you will not taste another amaretto sour like this. I had my wife test this theory as it was her first one and she completely agreed.

“Tripping the Hipster fantastic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Its shared table dining with a decent cocktail menu and serving staff with an almost insanely positive attitude. The food was excellent, I had veal brains which were excellent and lamb which was ok with a very nice sorbet in between. To keep along I tried a number of the cocktails but the Puddle Jumper was certainly my favourite.

The waiter was excellent, engaging, funny and attentive and really added to the relaxed hipster vibe in the place. Certainly one I will return to

“Happenin' place, skillfully prepared selections for locavores.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Large tables encourage meeting other travelers; reasonably priced for quality of entrees.
The bar may just be the busiest place in the area!

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

We heard great raving reviews from a fellow friend and we were told that we "absolutely had to go." We passed through for lunch and unfortunately it did not live up to the reviews as the Menu was lacklustre and the service was okay. The food was fine, but nothing remarkable. We didn't have any drinks that day, but the cocktails did look quite unique and this may appeal to some. My boyfriend had the burger and he said it tasted quite good - otherwise the lunch menu just looked bland.

Perhaps give it a try if you are looking for cocktail hour but wouldn't suggest their lunch menu :)
