“Beautiful Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

This was the first restaurant we visited when we got in town on the recommendation of the visitor center in the airport and it was fantastic. We went for a late lunch and had the whole place to ourselves practically. The food was amazing, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the lunch price was very reasonable.

“Good view and fine food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

Probably like most reviews on this restaurant, a combination of a spectacular setting and well prepared, tasty food, earns it a high rating. For this reason, I give it a maximum rating. Elsewhere this restaurant still would be very good but not excellent, since it would be on the high price end. My own meal was very tasty and well presented. I asked for tuna and it was very well prepared and with excellent presentation. All other dishes looked equally appetizing and everyone praised their choice. Service was also very good. The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. I think this is a place in Portland you must visit at least once (given so many other great choices). Even though we did not have a perfect day, the view also was spectacular.

“A Special Easter Day Family Gathering Brunch that was "just" very good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

We were visiting family on Easter Weedend and our kids wanted to take Mom and Dad, us, somewher special. We alway enjoy our kids and being together for special times. This place is very fancy, not where we can afford to eat very often, even for special gatherings. The view from the 30th floor is fantastic. We noted the very young people working the desk and to be honest with you they were more concerned with how they looked and their fellow employees conversation than with patrons waiting. As noted in another review, there is no where to seat and wait for your table. There is a long walkway to stand in or you can slip in a side area where elevators are and grab one of the few seats available there. Not really a comfortable situation for patrons about to spend some bucks in your establishment.

We were seated quickly and the "White" Jacketed wait person came and cared for us. She was pleasent and took good care of us, however the "Black" Jacketed wait people were not happy people. They seemed to be the clean up people and not one could break a smile and there was contact with at least 5 of them. That did not make a happy eater in this person. You are a paid employee and there to help your customers have a pleasent experience. There are a lot of people out of work in Portland that would love to have your position. Wake up!

Now we are all off to the Breakfast Buffet area. What a disapointment! Here is this beautiful view, lovely restaurant sitting and then the Buffet Area. They take a couple of circular booths and put out three 6' tables with the food on them. A very congested area to pick up your eats from. Then there is a dessert table some 8' away that you don't even know is there and the dessert selection is not much to choose from. Now back to the main Buffet Area. Many dishes go empty quickly and as noted, very congested. Food is good and something to try once in your life time. However at $40 a head, not some place we would come monthly, maybe once a year. After reading some of the other reviews, I don't think I want to eat here for a regular meal.

Our greatest time was in fellowship with our loved ones and after the meal we were taking photos out the windows over in the empty bar area. Don't get me wrong, food was good, it was Easter Sunday and there were a lot of Easter Outfits in the place. Enjoyed our visit and the food was good.

“Fabulous views, great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Aim to be there between 7 and 7:30 to catch the sunset you won't be disappointed. Lovely selection of local wines and waiter was vey knowledgable of both menu and wind list. We had tempura prawns to start which were wonderful. Then we had the halibut and the scallops which were fantastic. Wonderful evening out!

“Delicious food and an uncomparable view - great combo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Had lunch at this restaurant while shopping in downtown Portland. The staff, food, prices for what you get and the view were all amazing. I'm getting hungry just thinking about the warm crab & shrimp "BLT". The tortilla soup could be a meal all on it's own. But, what I'm having fantasy dreams about is the Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee. Can't wait to return some evening for dinner and the city lights.
