This restaurant was recommended by our hotel in Portland. We were really hungry after a long road trip and decided to give it a try. The hostess ushered us into the dining area after passing a fairly nice wine bar. The service was alright, but the quality of food was terrible.
My son ordered a burger with fries, how hard can that be to cook properly. His burger came extremely rare borderline raw, totally unacceptable to eat. Needless to say we sent it back to the kitchen. I saw the cook inspecting the burger as if we were crazy for sending it back, wanting it cooked more. We got the burger back and it was still undercooked, unbelievably bad preparation of meals.
I forgot cooking standards varies for beef in the United States, in Canada we cook our ground beef thoroughly, no pink. Considering E. coli poisoning is prevalent with undercooked ground beef and extremely dangerous. I assume they would want to try and please their clientele and avoid making their customers ill.
My meal was not much better! I had only two appetizers that were mediocre at best! I am giving Southpark Seafood Grill & Wine Bar, a well-deserved 1-rating, which it gets for extremely poor food safety, taste, and overall quality of dishes. I would not recommend this restaurant, unless you're into just drinking wine and not eating!
