“Expensive, but convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

This hotel restaurant was convenient for us. It has a very nice atmosphere, including outdoor sidewalk seating. The menu was Italian and they allowed my picky teen daughter to order off the kids menu. The bill was $50 for one side salad, a kids pasta meal, two sodas and a pasta entrée!

“Breakfast was fast and delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Every morning they have a different omelet special. I enjoyed crab and red pepper. The wait staff remember you if you are there for a few days and bring you the right coffee, etc. I did not want to venture out to try other breakfast places.

“Good bartender!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

The bartender in this place is outstanding. Very knowledgeable and makes a mean martini. (Try the Aviation gin!!) We also had breakfast, and my smoked steelhead omlette was very yummy, as was the eggs benedict that my lady had. Would dine here again, and certainly drink here again.

“Delicious lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We were looking for lunch and really wanted a place to sit down, that wasn’t fast food and that had some Italian food. We actually walked several blocks and then decided that maybe a hotel would have a nice restaurant. We shared an entrée and a salad and it was nice because they split the plates for us, no issue. Then we each had a glass of house wine. The server was very nice and offered to change the channel on the TV if we wanted.

My only issue was we were brought out some bread and about ½ of it was inedible. It was at least day old, hard, dry and shouldn’t have been served.

If I was looking or Italian food in downtown Portland, though, I would come back!

“Great and Tolerant Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

I joined more than one happy boisterous group at the bar, inside and out this past week, and although its a pricey place, I have to complement the staff. One evening a bar server kept us happy for hours, and each time she served us in the outside area, she had to crawl over half of us with her trays of drinks and food to get to the other half of us. And always with funny comments. We were there because we stayed in the hotel, but if you want a nice bar, this is not a bad place for anyone. Decor is nothing special, but its comfortable.
