“You have to eat here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

We were looking for a great place to have a steak on our visit to portland and boy did we find it. From our server Nate to our food everything was fantastic. Out of four adults we could not find a single thing to complain about . The price was reasonable for the quality and quanity. My meal was just under $40 but it came with a salad , prawns( i dont eat shrimp but my husband said they were the best he's had), beef tenderlion ( so tender), a huge baked potato with all the fixings( real bacon bits) and then a yummy dessert that I had to take in a box home. You have to start with the onion rings and house dressing. Getting onion rings that perfect is an art. Reservation highly recommended. We lucked out and got a seat at the bar ( first come first serve) I guess luck didnt have anything really to do with it. My husband went ahead of us to wait in line while the girls got freshened up form a day of sight seeing. We will definetly be eating here on every visit to the Portland area.

“Best steak in Portland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Spent a great evening with a group here. Everyone loved their food. It is expensive, but the food is very well prepared, the atmosphere is good and the service is impeccable. Highly recommend this place.

“Good steak, average sides, excellent service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

By 8pm they no longer had any Prime Rib medium rare, so we both ordered Ribeye steaks. They were tasty and perfectly prepared. They really push the onion rings, so we succumbed to this less than healthy treat. Unless you like battered and deep fried anything, don't bother. The sauteed spinach side was plentiful, perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. Our table was as requested in our reservation, and the service was very good (not sophisticated or stuffy, but attentive, informative and relaxed). The wine list was extensive and varied.

Although the steaks were excellent, the prices are a little high for Portland. The 3-course set menu for $42 (after 6) may be an option, but as mentioned, the Prime Rib was no longer available less than medium.

“Wonderful food and service”

The food and service there was top notch. Molly our server felt more like a friend than a server. I highly suggest the lobster potatoes when you go.

“Best onion rings anywhere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Excellent steakhouse, but what's not to be missed are the onion rings. They are simply fabulous. Nice, festive atmosphere, good service.
