It was a low-key Tuesday evening, very few customers. But even when we've been here on busier nights the service has always been exceptional. The waiter had a playful sense of humor, never carried too far. His advice on wine was helpful and our drinks and dishes were served swiftly. What more can you ask? Well, the food has to be good. Our split green salad was light and fresh--the beet salad at a neighboring table looked tasty too. ( Didn't ask for a bite though.) I was skeptical of quail, because the stuffing included a non-favorite of mine, liver, but the waiter urged me to give it a try, and he was right. It was crispy and rich, and I brought home the part I couldn't finish. Sliced duck breast was perfectly done. A skilled chef here, and a casual French atmosphere.
