“I love this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

I've eaten at this restaurant several times for different types of occasions and I have never been disappointed. Their onion rings and accompanying sauces are a super treat. Their clam chowder is excellent as well as their wedge salad. We have never had anything here that we didn't like. With it's upscale décor and 2nd floor seating, the ambience is wonderful for catching up, business, or a romantic or relaxing lunch. Their happy hour appetizers are yummy too. And they have a frequent customer dining card with emails to advise of any specials they may be running. The service here is always impeccable and the staff is very friendly.

“consistantly good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

good food, many menu choices, nice atmosphere, good service, moderate prices, average portions. nothing really 'stands out', but after several visits it does rate better than average, not the same as Jakes Crawfish nor Ringsides Steakhouse.

“Great happy hour tapas.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

Happy hour is from 3:00 until 7:00 and again after 9:00. There are many choices of delicious tapas priced from $3-$5, which we enjoyed so much that we ate dinner there both nights.

“Fine dining and happy hour - Oysters!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

We dined here for our first night in Portland, then returned a few days later for Happy Hour. Both great experiences. Dinner started with a selection of six oysters from the daily oyster menu. Perfectly presented and explained-good mignonette sauce. We like our oysters mostly bare, not covered up with a bunch of ketchup. Husband had the cioppino and I had the halibut. Both quite nice, halibut cooked perfectly and moist. Wines by the glass - two different Pinot Gris from Willamette Valley, similar but both very good. The only minor complaint is that we were seated in front of a large support beam near the window and we kept getting bumped as people walked around us.
We arrived at the Happy Hour just after 4 and were able to get a good seat. It filled quickly. I had the mussels, hubby had the fish and chips. There were a LOT of french fries and good portions of fish. I helped with the french fries, making it Moules Frites although they had more of an Asian twist on the broth, which I also liked. We left just as the music was starting but it seems to be very popular for music as well as wonderful seafood.

I enjoyed my meal here. Great wine list! I had fresh oysters, crab cakes and Swordfish. All were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.
