We stayed here on a Thursday night, arriving quite late (midnight). As we stumbled into the lobby after a long drive, hefting a half-asleep 2-year-old in my arms, we were greeted at the front desk with, "Hey! It's the (LastName)s! Welcome!", which is, without a doubt, the most friendly greeting I've ever had at a hotel. The hotel itself is fun--lots of funky paintings and a cool vibe. Certainly not pretentious, though: just cool and fun.
The room was small but clean, and there were two bathrooms across the hall. Other than some street noise (a siren, for example), the hotel was rather quiet....perhaps because it was a weeknight? The bathrooms were clean, and everything was well-maintained.
Because of our late arrival, we didn't end up using the pool, but went down to check it out, and it's great! Next time, we'll be sure to use it.
