This hotel is located near the airport so would not be the best location for someone who wants walking access to lots of restaurants, sights, etc., and not good for someone without a car. We drove here to visit relatives so this was not a problem for us and the numerous hotels near the airport are a lot cheaper than the ones downtown. Downtown is about a 20-25 minute drive unless the traffic is really heavy. We did not need the airport shuttle so can't comment on that. Unlike some airport neighborhoods, this one is not bad and I felt safe walking or driving around.
Some users have complained about lack of services like daily maid service but they must not be familiar with extended stay hotels which typically do not offer things like that. I personally prefer extended stay hotels because In exchange for daily maid service and free breakfast, you get a spacious room or suite with a kitchenette stocked with basic utensils so you can make all your own coffee and meals. The kitchen was nice and had full size fridge. We had a one bedroom suite (a true suite with two totally separate rooms) which was spacious, clean, and modern. The staff was pleasant and you can ask for basics like more TP, clean towels, etc., if you need something before the once weekly maid service. This hotel has free washers/dryers for the guests to use and you can check out a variety of appliances like blenders, etc. Good TV lineup and DVD player in room with DVD library, and a decent fitness center. Bed was comfy and the living room had a recliner. The hotel is nothing fancy but all in all a comfortable place for an extended stay.
The AC worked well, and with the windows closed and AC on we could not hear any external noise, including the planes approaching the airport. The only noise problem was someone in the room above allowing their children to run around for hours, and apparently jump up and down on the floor. After two days of this I complained to the front desk and they either took care of it or the individuals left. I don't think this kind of behavior can be blamed on the hotel and I can't say one way or the other if the noise was partly the fault of flimsy construction.
I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to the area. Next time I'll ask for a room on the top floor.
