“Zoo land”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

I recommend taking the small train from the Rose Garden to get to the Zoo. The views and the ride through the woods is fantastic. The Zoo itself is very well laid out. I went on a Monday so it wasn't very crowded. The baby Elephant, the Polar Bear and the Bat cave were my favorites!

“Great zoo!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

This zoo may have less animals than some (i.e. San Diego, Bronx), but the habitats are beautiful and they try to recreate the animals natural habitat. They devoted more space in this zoo to making good habitats than trying to cram in as many animals as possible. Makes the zoo a very enjoyable experience when the animals are happy and well cared for.

“Very small zoo for a bigger city!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

I have seen MUCH better zoos in smaller towns!! I was surprised at how few animals there were. And the displays didn't have much info about the animals. I guess you have to spend some extra money to buy a key to learn about the animals. The scenery was pretty, but Washington park has the same beautiful scenery and is free.

“Best Zoo Ever!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

I have been to many zoos, including the San Diego and L. A. zoo, and this is my very favorite!!! The lush surroundings and up close and personal connection with the animals make it the very best!
