I spent a somewhat drizzly afternoon here in August and was pleasantly surprised by the number of roses that were in bloom. I loved the varieties that you could see. As someone who enjoys gardening, my only complaint was the lack of information on how to purchase these hybrids for my own yard. I stopped in the store and they gave me contact information. They also had rose tea, which was very nice.

Someone was photographing quincenera pictures. It's a really lovely view, even when the weather isn't perfect.

If you love roses, this is the place to be. The history of the place is as interesting as the setting above the city of Portland.

It's so beautiful here, many many roses of all kinds . You can picnic here , the view of the city is amazing . You can walk around and don't forget to stop and smell the roses.

Late fall isn't the optimal time for a visit, but there were still some beautiful blooms and the view from the garden onto city is impressive. It's free - though you must pay a meter to park. Lots of benches and some pocket gardens. Would be great picnic spot on a warm, sunny day.
