“Kids Love This Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

The kids have always loved checking out the exhibits at OMSI...i think it's a little over priced but they do offer discounts that should be taken advantage of frequently. You definitely get what you pay for and they never disappoint.

“Lots of fun on a rainy day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

OMSI is a great place to go on a rainy day and a perfect spot for kids. It's located just over the Hawthorne Bridge and now accessible by the new street car route!

They change their special exhibits fairly regularly and I think these are often the best part for adults. The last one we visited was The Human Body exhibit which was fascinating.

A tip - if you're around on the last Wed of the month check out OMSI After Dark (http://www.omsi.edu/afterdark). It's quite cheap and 21+. You can enjoy adult beverages while letting loose and having fun, sans kids! It's a blast to have a beer while playing in the physics lab or shooting balls around the ball room.

The submarine is supposed to be well worth it but I've not had the chance to check it out.

“Smaller than some”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

Being from Illinois, I could only compare it to the Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry, which is huge with a multitude of hands on activities for all ages. OMSI did have a few rooms for that as well as an IMAX and advertised a submarine, which we did not see. It was somewhat advanced, hands on activities, for a 6 yr old.

“Family Spring Break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

The kids loved this museum. We have three children, ages 13, 11 and 4 and they all enjoyed themselves. The Mythbusters exhibit was neat and the museum is not expensive. It's pretty conveniently located for a short walk across the Hawthorne Bridge if you're staying downtown.

“A great time for the kids.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

OMSI is a good place for all ages, but is better suited for the young. There are wonderful explanatory exhibits covering a huge diversity of topics. You can spend hours in there. I recommend it for families.
