“Prettier than Hawaii”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

I am very lucky to live within an hour driving distance from the most beautiful scenery on Earth. The view of the Columbia Gorge from Cape Horn beats any Hawaii view. You must go when it's summer and sunny, and the views are clear. Stop at Cape Horn, hike to the falls, go to the observatory.

“Save the best for last”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

We hiked Multnomah Falls soon after the rains and snow this year and got a few roadblocks on the trail. The Bensen bridge is currently closed so if you're planning to hike the Multnomah Falls trail, be prepared to take a detour. We had to go further east and start off at a different trailhead which added 2 miles to our hike. But all in all, it was worth it. Especially when you get all the way up to the top and are looking down at the waterfall!! Definately worth it and it's for sure a hike we'd love to do again and again.

“Gorgeous Gorge”

Most beautiful scenery - green and beautiful. Gorgeous views throughout. East to get to. The waterfalls are always crowded though.

“Enjoy the beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

When visiting Portland, it is definetly worht the drive to experience the beauty of the gorge. World class windsurfing, dynamic Multnomah Falls, the interesting Bonneville Locks and fish ladders. You could easily spend a whole day exploring and taking evrrything in.

“Delightful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

One of the things that makes this site so fun to visit is that it is largely untouched by human intervention. Yes, there is a bridge and a tourist center, but the falls themselves are a fantastic manifestation of nature unchanged and unadulterated.
