“A Celebration of Flavors on Each Petite Plate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2014

Out of town visitors, we went to Petite Provence for an early dinner to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. From the beginning to end, we were amazed by the food and service. The server was the only one taking orders, but managed to keep up with everything and keep everyone happy. She suggested two petite entrees per person, so the three of us ordered the parmesan grilled romaine and shrimp, Coquilles St-Jacques (seared scallops on parmesan risotto), Columbia River steelhead filet with a toasted hazelnut crust and sauteed leeks and roasted artichoke hearts, brie and roasted garlic with toasted baguette, Sid's roasted red and yellow beet salade, and warm broccolini salade with butternut squash and spinach with warm bacon-shallot dressing and blue cheese. I have never seen my mother so excited about food. She even ordered another plate of scallops. We topped off the meal with the Provence Dessert Flight, a choice of three mini desserts: a fruit tart, lemon graffiti, and coconut bamba. The dish came with a birthday message written on it for my father. Besides the great server, there was a cheerful and friendly busboy who kept our glasses filled and took our plates. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we came back with two new arrivals in tow the next night and had a mix of dishes we had ordered the night before, and others: calamars fris (tempura calamari with green and white onion), Chicken Cordon Bleu, petite beef beurre rouge, Kobe Beef sliders, artichoke risotto croquettes with lemon beurre blanc, and the soup of the day, a seafood chowder. We moved on to dessert, of course, and tried the salted caramel macaron, and another Provence Dessert Flight, this time with a chocolate mousse cup, a lemon tart, and the lemon graffiti again. There were plenty of gluten-free, vegetarian, and pescetarian choices. While there are no substitutions, they will serve dressings, cheese, etc. on the side. The excellence of the plates, the very reasonable prices, and the great service and atmosphere made dining at Petite Provence a highlight of our trip.

“Excellence of Food and Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

Our family of four adults enjoyed an unexpected delicious breakfast at Petite Provence. The restaurant is meticulously clean and uncluttered. The breakfasts we had were corn beef hash (excellent), the "day breaker" with home made sausage, the carmelized pear french toast and the polenta. All dishes were exceptiionally good. All the staff (our server was Donna) were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. As one who doesn't especially appreciate or enjoy "over the top" establishments, the Petite Provence was a very enjoyable experience in all ways, mostly the food, it's presentation and the friendly staff. We will certainly return to the Petite Provence.

“New Menu for Spring!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2014

Great restaurant. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. New Menu for dinner is Tapas ala Portland style. You get 4 or 5 plates to share. Yum! Very cozy on a Friday night with a guitarist serenading through out the evening. Worth the wait time.
