Amazing food. Yes local ingredients---does anyplace in Portland not? Charming firehouse---needs tablecloths, to break up the woody monotony. But it has the same hipster/hippie malaise that seems unavoidable in Portland. The service is always sub-par, even if the server is polite and has a wonderful personality they are always inattentive. Sat for minutes without water, without a "hello," without a "be with you in a moment." Ice tea--no sugar offered, no lemon. Forget about a refill. Why do they spend so much time, creating such wonderful food only to forget about the delivery? Why does Portland put up with this?
The Firehouse is worth the trip, but only because of it's food.
Fantastic: Gnocchi, pizza and small plates.
