This is a convention hotel built in the sixties from the looks of things. It's not a disaster by any means but the common areas particularly need upgrading. I was given a room on the second floor on the "wrong side " of the building. If you stay there insist on the fourth or fifth floors due to traffic noise. Also ask for a room on the west side for the great views of the river and downtown. I must say my room itself was very clean and everything was in working order except a broken down floor lamp. Bed was excellent and water pressure was good. Since this hotel obvious caters to convention and business travelers I was surprised by the lack of a decent work chair. The WiFi was very weak and slow. No HBO or Showtime either. Overall not bad for the price I paid, but if I'd been paying a non discounted rate I'd be more disappointed.
