“a real gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2012

After reading the two negative reviews I had concerns. BUT I have been going to B&Bs for the last 30 years and know that some people should never stay in B&Bs. What I found was an absolute delight! First the home is up to date but weather worn... BECAUSE IT IS ON THE COAST AND SUBJECT to constant wind and for most of the year harsh weather. As with all property a little way away from the water there is massive foliage - impossible to keep watered if the summer is hot and dry so of course like all other property in the area it will turn brown.. Plus this property in on a very large lot. The rooms were beautiful, the environment was relaxing, the food was exactly what most (not all) Bed and Breakfast provide - delicious and plenty of it, the host and hostess were gracious, accomodating and flexible. This couple could not have done more to make my stay top notch! They were completely professional and went (in my opinion) above and beyond what they needed to do. In staying in a B&B one needs to be flexible, realize that people have both good days and bad days, embrace the fact that staying in a B&B is not just a nights lodging but an experience, be friendly, tolerant, accepting and above all able to go with the flow. Having stayed in B&Bs where the cooking is a -100 I still found that the experience was just that an experience. I would recommend this B&B to everyone!

Room Tip: If you are not of the B&B personality - flexible, adaptable, gracious, tolerant - don't choo...

Wife and I stayed at the Eagle's View Bed and Breakfast in Pacific City, OR for one night. Very enjoyable stay and was it ever so quiet there. Room was spaceous, bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was great. Highly recommend this B & B if you want a location that provides both peace and quiet, along with good accomodations.

Patt and Geoff made our stay a wonderful experience! They have a large and beautiful house that overlooks the scenic sound. The room had a nice and cozy view of the garden. It was clean, tastefully furnished with comfortable beds and essential furniture, and all the necessary items available right there for us (slippers, bath robes, toiletries, refrigerator, coffee, tea, cookies, etc.).
Patt fed us excellent breakfast every morning with freshly made pancakes, waffles, smoothies, and local berries. The German Pancakes were fantastic! Yum!
Thank you very much for the hospitality, Patt, and for making our stay so delicious and comfortable!

Visiting from Canada and having spent a great number of summers touring and staying in B&B's this recommended by someone in the area B&B has nothing going for it. The owner was rude when I checked in at another location- their inn- when I asked if we could actually view the room. He informed me that if I changed my mind he was charging my visa anyway. First clue that there was a problem. The Oregon Coast has not been busy this year and accomodation has been readily available, it is my belief that this B&B was not busy and then needed our business, we were the only guest one night and we are talking hot days in July. The home has absolutely no curb appeal, dried up grade, scruffy plants, dirty windows and door, flowere pots with wilted plants. The hostess worn stained clothing and the host was unshaven. Though the room was clean enough and had a view as promised, but was very overpriced. Meals were okay as they had fresh fruit, but some things had been premade and heated in the microwave. This unfortunate experience was frustrating and costly. I felt like that referral from another B&B in the area was unfortunate. The website would not have helped us as it is not at all what we saw or got. I could not recommend this B&B at all.

We always prefer a B & B when we travel so we were delighted to see one we could stop at on our tour of the Oregon Coast. We were a little disappointed that the rooms were all quite small and cluttered. There was no dresser for putting away clothes. The bathroom was also quite small. When we opened one of the bedroom windows we found that there was no screen there so we kept it closed to keep out any bugs. The room also does not have blackouts so the sun comes streaming in to wake you. Breakfast was lovely and well prepared. The owner served everything individually and asked about food preferences etc. We were only there overnight so did not use the hot tub or walk around the property.

Stayed overnight and was thrilled with service and accomodations. If our trip would have allowed we would have stayed longer then one night. The bed was very comfortable, the setting very romantic and the view from the room was spectacular. Host and hostess went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and even gave us a ride to a jet ski championship event the next day. Will make sure to include the Bed and Breakfast to all travel plans in the future. We ended the evening with a soak in the hot tub with stars in the sky and wine by the glass. Very enjoyable.

My wife and I spent a night at the Eagle's View on our way down the coast to San Francisco.

We want to thank Geoff and Pat fo0r a wonderful stay. They are both very friendly and made us feel welcome, The breakfast was fantastic, with fruit and an egg dish. Pancakes were offered but declined. We were simply too full.

We highly recommend a stay at the Eagle's View.
