The Pelican Brew Pub offers a variety of beers that are brewed on-site and very decent pub food, but the service is lacking. We ate there with friends twice during our stay in Pacific City (once for dinner and once for breakfast) and both times we received very poor service. It seems that they are under-staffed, or they have the servers doing too much on the side to be able to attend to their guests in a regular and timely manner.
On a positive note, the view is spectacular (especially on a rare sunny day in November) and the food is pretty good! The clam chowder is some of the better chowder I've had on the Coast, and the country gravy they serve on their Chicken Fried Steak is made with beer which gives it a wonderfully unique flavor.
It's probably one of the better places to go in Pacific City, but if you go, be prepared to enjoy the view, the beach combers, fisherman, and surfers, while you wait for your food and drinks. I suggest you order appetizers, as well! ;-)
