“Quiet nights”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Nice RV park. Spaces are close together. The location is just across the street from the beach and 4 restaurants. You don't need to get in your car to go anywhere and that's a definite plus. It is so quiet here at night. We stayed here the second week in September in a 25 foot fifth wheel. I enjoyed my stay here and will return.

The best thing about this RV Park is it's location directly across the street from a beautiful beach with a huge sand dune. Vehicles are allowed on the beach in certain areas which made for a little congestion and crowds. The park itself could use a little sprucing up as the landscaping is overgrown. We have a Class A big rig so the site was a little tight with not much room to sit out on lawn chairs. Great open area for dogs adjacent to the park however.

We had a my daughters 9th birthday party last weekend and rented a cabin at the RV Resort. Just a small one bedroom cabin it had 5 beds all together. We did a pizza party at Dory land which they reserved large tables for us ahead of time at no extra cost and were very accommodating with allowing us to bring in the cake and do presents and really take over the game section for a couple hours. Then we walked across to the RV pool which was relatively empty and they were so nice to let about 9 of the kids swim even though none were staying the night. They didn't fuss about who belonged where and we really appreciated them rolling with the punches. We then had some extra cars at the cabin for just a couple hours while the kids did a fire and marshmallows, again no problem for them! We all slept surprisingly well, I figured with the looks of the plastic futon mattresses it would be a long night but I slept fine. The kids really needed a night light in there, it was really dark. And the sites are definitely very close together, but everyone seemed nice enough. Our friends had such a good time they said they will do that next year for their kids!

This park is a go to location for my family for years. Right across the street from the beach and nicer than the parks surrounding it. Sometimes wi-fi is spotty on what site you end up with and the pool can get a little tight on holiday weekends. Awesome place to stay during the Summer and Winter.

This was our first time at this resort, pool clean, grounds clean, CATV, power and sewer connection easy connect, store well stocked with virtually everything, owners friendly.
Downside, as you might suspect coastal fog for two out of the 3 days, but people still surfed and sand boarded. The Pelican brew pub across the street served us well food was okay and the service was okay, I guess you can be that way when you are the only game in town. When the fog finally lifted it was spectacular, surf, sand, blue sky. Fog is a summertime issue, early fall would be better and with less children. All in all we were satisfied and would stay here again. We have a 28 ft motorhome and our daughter, husband and granddaughter a tent trailer.

We just got home from our stay at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort. The park itself isn't anything spectacular, sites are a little close together, garbages sporadically placed throughout, but the pool was clean and the location was awesome. The marketplace had tons of souvenirs to choose from and carried a lot of items for a reasonable price. There's lots of good places to eat, like Doryland Pizza, Ben and Jeff's acros the street, and the Pelican Pub. The beach is literally right outside your front door, which is the best selling feature. We'll vacation there again!

This was our second time here in the last 3 years and what a blast. Wife and kids love the short walk to the beach and the cleanliness of the cottages. People are friendly, staff is courteous and amenities kept the entire family entertained. I work on the road and last time I was here the WiFi was terrible. I couldn't even check email. This time, I worked remotely and kids watched Netflix while wife played her favorite games online. Download speeds are faster than my home. You can tell the system has been upgraded. Walked the park and didn't lose signal once. That helped since AT&T signal was in and out. No blocked content here!!!! I would recommend this park as a great getaway with the amenities of home.
