We stayed at Otter Crest for two nights. We were thrilled by the location because it was our first time experiencing the Pacific Coast. The setting of the Inn is very beautiful and the beach is nice to explore at low tide. We saw whales from our balcony within moments of arriving.
The room we stayed in was dated and the sliding glass door to the balcony was heavy and noisy to move, as were the draperies. We had no problem with noise, but we may have just been near quiet neighbors. It does need to be stated that there is no parking near the rooms and the walk up to the room is very steep. The hotel will help you and your bags up to the room, but it does make any trips back and forth to your vehicle a bit of work. The journey to the beach can be made on a small incline tram which takes you to the restaurant. From there you must walk a short distance and climb down some stairs.
We enjoyed our stay and feel that we got more than what we paid for since our nightly rate was only $99. In Florida, most beach front hotels are large resorts that charge a great deal more and offer much less in scenic views.
