“Great Beach Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

This park is one of our usual stops for beach access in the Newport area. There is a great campground, but can be crowded. The day-use area has nice bathrooms and some of the easiest beach access around. It is also on one of the nicest stretches of beach around. Stop and take a stroll!

“Love that yurt!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

We just stayed one night at Beverly Beach S P as we were passing through. We were on an extended road trip and didn't want to haul a lot of camping gear, but wanted to take advantage of the inexpensive rates of the S P. So I booked a yurt and we loved it! For those who don't know, a yurt is a round permanently set up tent. It is very sturdy with a wood frame, covered in canvas. There were 2 zip windows with screens, and a clear pop up top for air and light. It was on a platform with a small porch. Inside was a table and 2 chairs, a heater, a light, electric outlet, and a bunk bed (double on the bottom and single on the top). It was actually quite spacious. The bath house was clean. There was a store that sold necessities such as ice and firewood.

The beach was just a short walk from out campsite. The park is very close to the highway and you actually walk under the highway bridge to get to the beach. It is a nice long walking beach. Children were riding bikes and playing frisbee. It was foggy so we didn't see a sunset.

Word of advice: The yurts/camp sites can be reserved 9 months ahead of time; be on the computer on that exact date because the yurts go fast.

“Good beach, good location, but cramped campground”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Good:
- Long sandy beach here. Not as breathtaking as Cannon Beach but still very good.
- Convenient and close to Newport
- Showers are free and surprisingly clean

Bad:
- sites at the campground are small and close together
- few trees between sites, not much privacy especially for tent camping

If you close you eyes and envision the Oregon Coast and a picturesque beach - open your eyes and this is IT! Tidal pools, a wide expansive beach, cliffs, caves, rock formations, and peace! Go and explore - you will LOVE it!

“A CAMPGROUND WITH A LONG BEACH...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

With all the campground by the ocean in Oregon, this one has a long beach added to its amenities...The beach is a short comfortable walk from the campground...Of course, summer is the best time to visit this place...It is located between Newport (7 minutes) and the Lincoln City(30 minutes)...Ideal place to fly your kite(s) and to play volleyball during daytime...Good ambience for night time campfire or just spending time under the shiny summer moon...Its always a pleasure to visit this place and campground staffs are friendly...Good camping everyone!!!
