“Another good restaurant in OC”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

We had happy hour last night to celebrate 2 birthdays. There weren't many people there and I am not sure if it is the negative reviews that have been post or what caused the lull. We were pleased with the salmon tacos. The soup du jour and house salad were also hits. To top it off we had the flour less cake with a wine reduction. Mmmmm great way to finish it all off. I agree prices are a little on the high side for OC and for Happy hour but overall the food and atmosphere were great.

“Very Disappointed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

We arrived at a time designated on their website and phone message only to find they were not open. There were two people inside and neither offered to let us know if their hours had changed. An Oregon City code inforcement employee went to the back door and were told they opened later on Friday. We were there to have a glass of wine and appetizers, get a gift certificate for a friend and generally check it out. We also tried to call them....to no avail. If their hours change, they should post those changes on line, on their phone message or post their new hours in the window. There are other wine bars more receptive to new patrons. We are purchasing a gift card at another establishment in our area. We will probably not try again.

“Awesome New Years Celebration”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

Most people look at reviews to decide if they want to try a restaurant for their food, I too do this through Trip Advisor and a few other social media publications.
This review is for no other reason than a giant THANK YOU to the Owners and staff of Nebbiolo for one of the most engaging and fun New Years Celebration that I can remember. My wife, our friends and the rest of the patrons that happen to find their way to this quaint little wine bar in historic downtown Oregon City were treated to karoke that rolled into a dj playing popular music to sing and dance to. The Owner, dancing on the bar, pouring champagne to all who wanted and enjoying the holiday as much as the customers.

For those that are interested in a review for the restaurant - the wine selection is modest in size, well represented across all wine producing areas and a very nice selection of Oregon wines as well. The food, is designed around smaller plate offerings with nice meat and cheese plates to go with your wine selection. This is not a full dining selection type menu, it caters items best served with glasses of wine and social atmosphere where sharing with your friends is the main agenda.

“Who knew there was a great restaurant at the end of the Oregon Trail?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

We received a recommendation for this restaurant from the owner of AlexEli Winery. He was right. This place is excellent; beautiful space, lovely setting, and delicious tapas offerings. No shortage of wine offerings either. If your travels bring you to the end of the Oregon Trail, put this spot on your list. And then take a walk on Main Street. Fun!

“Overstated”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

On our annual visit home to OR, friends took me out for drinks and dinner for my birthday. The review in the newspaper had talked of owners who had traveled to Europe and with the experience opened Nebbiolo(which is the name of a red grape from northwestern Italy). Problems were: overcharged on wine that was sold during happy hour, polenta was lumpy and tasteless, sauces were tasteless and did not enhance the food, appetizer plates where over priced and provided a minimum of food. Extremely overpriced and most importantly the male owner was not friendly, walked around with a cell phone attached to his ear and displayed an attitude that was not welcoming. I have advised several family and friends to avoid this unpleasant experience A trip to Europe does not warrant or give the knowledge toopen and operate a bar/restaurant.
