“Smells horrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

Keep driving, we stayed here only after a 12 hour drive and we were very tired and just need a bed. It smelled really old and musty, the carpets we damp for some reason, thankfully the bathroom and bedding were clean.....overall so not worth the price.

We stayed at this location on June 06, 2013. The location was way off the main highway, and the accommodations were very average. It has been a long time since there was any updating. It was an okay place for prowling the area, but it was far from what we expected from the website.

We reserved this hotel by phone prior to our three night stay and was given a price quote for a King Bed unit with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. When we arrived the front desk had our reservation but said it was for a king bed room not a suite and did not have the microwave, fridge or coffeemaker in it. If I wanted a room with those items it would cost another $10.00 per night above the quoted price. Due to my husbands health I had no choice but to pay the extra fee or drive around looking for another hotel after the long drive down from Portland after a 9 hour flight fro Florida. The unit was clean but the floor was damp almost like the carpet had been cleaned but not allowed to dry. It had a very strong chemical smell. After turning on the AC and opening the door we finally aired out most of the smell. The fridge did not have a freezer compartment to keep ice in, and was missing one of the shelves. The bathroom while clean had a weird fan over the toilet with a sign that said to turn it on while showering. And a dusty wall heater that I would be afraid to turn on. All in all I would not recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Location is a bit out of the way from the all the action of this wonderful area so avoid it if you can. Internet did not work. TV stopped intermittently. Water temp in shower changed constantly from cold to hot. The excuse at the front desk was "We are very full and the systems are overloaded." No apology. Aren't hotels supposed to be full? It should not be an excuse for things not working properly. It's just old and needs renovation. The rooms were clean and if all you are looking for is a clean room... enjoy. Breakfast room has space, but not enough tables so get ready to stand or take food to your room. Not one of Choice Hotels better properties.

Room Tip: Request quiet room away from ice maker.

This hotel is excellent in every respect, but sits in a shopping center. Yes, a shopping center.

Why, you ask?

Seems this hotel was there before the center. The wisdom and financial interests of the town and investors took priority over the strong objections of the hotel and they lost

Put that aside as my wife and I did, and you will find a clean, well appointed, well staffed place to spend the nite

Room Tip: Ask for one in the rear as you will not know the shopping center is there.

This was our third stay at this Quality Inn & Suites and we have never been disappointed. Checking in is always quick and easy and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable and included in the price of the room is a very good breakfast. We always stay in a queen suite which gives us plenty of room to move around. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay at a great value, then we recommend this Quality Inn.

Room Tip: The second floor rooms are much quieter.

We made reservations through Choice Hotels using my points, sight unseen, and were very happy. Check in quick and simple and they even gave us a goody bag! I don't know if this was because it was a points stay or if I was a Choice Privileges member or what but it was nice.

Average room with some recent upgrades it seemed...the mirror and light fixtures in the vanity/sink area seemed new. The rooms are far from the road so there was no traffic noise at all. They even had clothespins on the drapes so that when you closed them you could fasten them to make sure that no light got in.

The ice machine in our building did not work the night we arrived nor the next am, but there was one in the next building so it was not a huge inconvenience. I meant to mention it upon check out, but forgot.

Breakfast was the best part. It seems as though every Choice Hotel varies greatly on what they offer, but this was way more than we expected! Eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, sausage gravy, waffles, yogurt...the list goes on and on. There was a little bit of something for everyone.

I was very pleased with this Quality Inn.
