And, I mean one of the finest meals. April's is a charming restaurant named after the chef/co-owner. She is such a talented chef. Amazing what she does with food. We have eaten there about 15 times and have NEVER been disappointed. Everything is made from scratch as soon as you place your order. Kent (April's husband) is so friendly (other co-owner) and helps in so many ways. He makes the caesar salad which is outstanding! They have a special menu as well as the normal menu. She prepares meats, fish, chicken, duck, rabbit and all of it is always delicious! They have an extensive wine list with many wonderful Oregon wines. April cooks with a bit of a Italian flare with what we call Pacific Northwest undertones. They have their own greenhouse and garden at their home which provides a great deal of the vegetables. They are so organized and do everything to ensure your meal and experience will be just that---------a wonderful culinary experience. Oh, and the desserts are oh, so, yummy! There is darling art in it, which we understand April's mother paints. You feel so warm and welcomed as soon as you walk in. Do yourself and your taste buds a favor and dine there. A side note, maybe her husband will tell you the story of her being Paul Anka's person chef for a while.
