The Newport Belle is a riverboat that is docked not too far from the old city of Newport. The owners live on the top floor, while the middle floor is a common area and the lower floor houses guests.
The boat is in great shape as are the rooms. Of course, this being a boat, the rooms aren't as spacious as some might be accustomed to, but this should detract from the novel experience.
Breakfasts were delicious and filling (ask for the recipe for the granola - we're still making it regularly at home) and the owners were very pleasant to chat with (They're also quite patient. While we were there, there was a particularly annoying guest aboard, but the hosts managed to deal with them in a pleasant manner - I probably wouldn't have been so kind.)
Oh, and the boat is docked walking distance from the Rogue brewery, so be sure to stop by for a meal and drink. Very tasty beer.
I recommend this B & B both for it's uniqueness and quality. It's a welcome respite from the main strip of Newport.
