“Great scenic point and wonderful historical information”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

My husband and I love visiting the various lighthouses and visitor's centers. This one is definitely one of the best - great view, wonderful historical pieces, and now even a trail that can be used by those with wheelchairs or other mobility devices.

“Beautiful Classic Oregon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

Lovely lighthouse with costumed lighthouse keeper & keeper's wife who keep you entertained and informed about a keeper's life as you wait to climb the lighthouse stairs. The natural area surrounding the lighthouse is beautiful, with a "musical" cobblestone beach which rattles & sings in the waves & craggy cliffs overlooking the sea. Oregon just like you imagined it.

Beautiful area with outstanding Lighthouse. Take some time to walk around the coastline below the lighthouse for great pictures of area and lighthouse.

“Beautiful Ocean Surroundings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

The lighthouse and shoreline are very beautiful and interesting. Our favorite area is the beach near the lighthouse. The beach consists of black cobblestones that crack and rattle as the waves crash in and recede. There are a number of sea lions and birds along the shoreline and on the rock outcroppings as
well. We would highly recommend a stop here if you are in the area.

“Beautiful view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

The $7 fee you pay to get into the area is well worth it. The line to climb the 100+ stairs to the top of the lighthouse can get long at times, but moves fairly quickly. The tide pools at low tide are some of the best we've seen on the Oregon coast. The rocks can be a little tricky to walk on for young children, so be careful. Definitely a must see.
