“Breathtaking Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2009

My husband and I stayed at the Chehalem Ridge B&B for 2 nights (April 18-19th) in the Rose Garden Room. Although it took a good 20 minutes from OR-99W to reach the B&B, the view from our room was worth every minute of driving. The B&B is perched atop Chehalem Mountain with breathtaking views of the Willamette Valley. The inn itself is extremely cozy and relaxed and Kristin made sure our every need was met. Breakfasts were a fine dining experience and started with a fruit dish (such as a poached apple) and a homemade pastry (we enjoyed lemon poppyseed bread and carrot muffins while there). The main courses at breakfast were truly gourmet -- smoked salmon quiche one day and baked stuffed french toast the next. It was great to have full tummies before we started our days of wine tasting. I highly recommend the Chehalem B&B if you are visiting Oregon's wine country.

We have stayed in Newberg on many occassions and by far and away Chehalem Ridge Inn is the best in town. From their billion dollar views to their to die for breakfasts to the gracious hosts that run the establishment you could not ask for anything better.

We stayed in the Wine Country room, from which you feel like a manor lord overlooking your kingdom. The rooms are furnished for peace, quiet, and comfort. There are no TVs (that can be found in the downstairs common room), phones, or other modern day inconveniences.
We would recommend CRI without any reservations, but you may need them to get in.

Located on the ridge above the town of Newberg, this is a lovely B&B with breathtaking views. Very new and very clean, with friendly and helpful hosts. Our room was the Wine Country room, with an enormous jacuzzi-style tub - the bathroom was elegantly decorated and very nice. Comfortable bed; only downside to our stay was lack of drawers for clothing - but this was far outweighed by the overall terrific experience. Breakfasts were delicious! This B&B is in a perfect location for those wishing to do wine-tasting in the area (which was also excellent!)

My husband and I stayed at the B&B during Valentines weekend, and found the owners had built a lovely, fully equipped and relaxing inn. The view is spectacular, with little decks
to sit and enjoy the view even more. The bed was so wonderful we found it hard to get out of it.....but totally worth it for the breakfast! And it's great that you can go to the cozy TV nook in the basement if you want to watch a movie and not have the other guests hear it. We'll definitely come back and wish them years of success. The Chehalem Ridge Bed & Breakfast was the perfect place to explore Oregon's wine country. The Inn is lovely, breakfasts were delicious. Looking forward to a return trip to the Pacific Northwest for a longer stay.

This place is a wonderful find in the Willamette area. Gorgeous house with a great view of the valley, clean and comfortable accommodations, friendly owners, and delicious breakfast. Would definitely stop here again -- a value.

  • Liked — the breakfast
  • Disliked — bed was very soft, not so great for bad backs
