“A Great Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

We were in Newberg just for the night and when we walked in we decided to eat at the bar. We really wanted to have a good experience because we had just left another restaurant, in which we had a reservation, because of their rude service. Jory did not disappoint. The atmosphere was perfect, the food was excellent and our service was great. I will definitely be going back to stay at the hotel so we can enjoy their beautiful grounds and eat at their restaurant again!

“Excellent on Every Front”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

Recent dining experience was excellent and consistent from start to finish. From the point when seated to wrapping up the check. Professional, easy-going service that didn't slack at any point. Food was top notch as were the variety of options. Wine list was very deep, which this reviewer prefers, with a special focus on Oregon and Northwest wines. Can't miss.

“romantic restaurant with excellent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

Service - top notch, our servers were very professional and let us try different wines before we settled on one we liked. there was also somebody refilling our water glasses, asking if we wanted warm bread, and making sure we were taken care of.

Food - Had the wagyu and the alaskan cod. The wagyu was cooked perfectly - medium rare. Flavor and tenderness were okay, not as excellent as maestros/mortons/ruth chris' steak houses. The gnocchi that was served with the wagyu was delicious, however. the alaskan cod was okay - not as flavorful as I had anticipated. dessert was souffle with ice cream - it was good and different compared to other lava cakes we have had.

Price - a little too high for what we got. Ended up spending around $140 total for 2 entrees, a salad, dessert, 2 half glasses of wine. I don't know if it was worth $140...would've been okay paying $100 for it.

decor - dark, romantic, candlelight, nice linens.

“Amazing dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

We visited off season and the venue was very quiet.
Service was impeccable. Found the menu a trifle limited but accept during the off peak season this is not unexpected.
The food was wonderful; our party ordered quite a range of dishes and all were declared delightful and well described. Servings were Appropriate.
Extensive wine list would meet any requirement.
We would have been tempted to return next evening had the menu been some degree longer.
Strongly recommended.
