Dining at Bank & Grill in Milton-Freewater is much like dining at a good friends house. That is if your friend is a gourmet Chef and master of all things grilled. The turn of the century building once used as a bank in old downtown Freewater is unpretentious, rustic and inviting. From church pew seating to ranch inspired decor, The Bank & Grill makes for a perfect evening with Family & Friends.
Served as an appetizer while you wait is a basket of warmed, house-made herbed bread accompanied with small bites of sweet pickled veggies, sliced beef, cheese and butter. Chef Paul's approach to grilling is good old fashioned, back to the basics style BBQ featuring generous portions of seared, hand cut and select Beef encrusted with savory seasonings and bursting with flavor. Served with a side salad and wedge of Blue Cheese the "Santa Maria" steak is a perfect pairing with dark beer, hearty red wine or a sip of whiskey. A small portion of chocolate covered shortbread is served as the ideal nightcap to a wonderful meal.
The Bank & Grill serves up large portions for a very reasonable price and the friendly staff goes out of their way to make each guest comfortable. Just like the good old days, the Bank & Grill does not accept plastic...be sure to bring cash or check as well as your appetite. Thank you Paul and crew for a wonderful evening, I can't wait to visit again.
