“Very helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2009

We stayed on the Friday before 4th of July so the hotel was very busy. Staff was still very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and very clean. Only small complaint would be that the a/c is kind of loud.Nice breakfast selection and even an overflow room for busy mornings such as we experienced. Front desk helped us with a lost item the next day after we were already on the road. Jennifer was super pleasant about helping us and tracking it down in the hotel laundry! To top that they paid to have the item returned to us, talk about customer service! We will recommend to our friends who travel frequently from Portland to LA.

We thought this was a pretty nice hotel. Our daughter's crib was already in the room when we checked in, which is something we don't get very often. The room itself was clean and facing the parking lot and the worst thing from my perspective was that the airconditioning is a window unit and is quite noisy. I am pretty sensitive to noise, but in this case we were probably too tired for it to bother me too much so I slept quite well. The beakfast was nice and even though it was very busy, employees were able to quickly replenish items that were being goblled up fast. High speed Internet and parking were included in the rate (i.e. "free").

We stayed for two nights last week and were blown away by this property. My husband and I are both in the travel & hospitality industry and have stayed in 4+ star locations that could probably learn a thing or two from SpringHill Suites Medford. The room was spacious, complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious, manager's reception was nice, front desk staff was extremely polite and helpful in recommending restaurants and giving directions to nearby Crater Lake (don't miss it if you're in the area!!!). Also wonderful was a non-hotel sponsored deliver-to-your-room dinner service that consists of dozens of area restaurants. We tried Bruno's pizza and it did not disappoint. The front desk recommended Si Casa Flores Mexican restaurant, which was very nearby and also delicious. The hotel location is really great. It's right off the interstate and there are many new restaurants and shops within a short walk/drive. Definitely better than some of the older areas of Medford. The bed was great, bathroom was spacious. Even though the hotel seemed fairly busy, it was always quiet. We used the onsite guest laundry facilities ($1.25 to wash, $1.25 to dry). We liked that you needed a room key to access the laundry room. It's a nice service to offer guests who don't want to pay big bucks for the traditional hotel laundry services. Our wonderful experience at this hotel has definitely put SpringHill Suites into the mix when planning future trips!

We stayed here four nights in the week leading up to Easter. The hotel still had that "just built" smell and was spic and span. The freeway onramp is still a work in progress but you can exit Highway 5 from the north and get on heading south.

The room was quite large and easily accommodated our family of four with two queens and a pull out. The breakfast was adequate each morning with a little variety. The indoor pool was small but lots of fun for the kids, along with the indoor jacuzzi.

The only downer was that check in was long - about 25 minutes as we got behind several sports team families (soccer and baseball) that were checking in at the same time. There is an all-weather baseball/softball complex down the street. Even with all the teens, the hotel was very quiet during our stay.

Downtown Ashland is about 15 minutes south, Jacksonville about 15 minutes east. Harry and David's is just a minute down the street. Everything we did was within an easy drive.

My husband stays at this property twice each month for business, but in February (over Valentine's Day weekend) he brought the rest of the family along for a weekend getaway while he worked. We enjoyed the property very much. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, good breakfast, clean, and a nice (for this property type) pool/hot tub area.

The staff is pleasant and efficient. This is a great property for a stop over if driving through Oregon to Califiornia on I-5. Free internet is handy. I don't often give 5 stars all the way across a review, but I do believe that this property deserves it.

Our confirmed online reservation was for a 2 queen bed room, feather free, foam pillows. Front desk check-in person was frenzied and rude. As soon as we walked up to the desk the staff member informed us that she was ready to walk off the job. We were also informed that only king rooms were able. After explaning we had a confirmed reservation for 2 queen beds and that a king bed was not satisfactory - we were handed pass cards and told to check the room out. Neither directions were given to the room's location nor did the pass cards work when tried. Back to desk for another try for pass cards that worked. The 2 queen bed room we entered was clean, but had feather/down blankets and pillows. We called the front desk twice and requested the feather/down items be removed and replaced with non-feather blankets and pillows. Housekeeping left a message while we were at dinner and told us to put feather/down blankets in the closet and use only the foam pillows in the room (No mention about replacement blankets.. After calling housekeeping and explaining that the feather items had to be removed from the room - the first polite person we encountered since our arrival removed the feather/down blankets and pillows.
If you want to stay at a Marriott facility try the Marriott Fairfield Inn in Central Point, Oregon. The staff at the Fairfield was polite and much more helpful. As requested the room at the Fairfield was FEATHER/DOWN FREE!

From check-in, to housekeeping, to breakfast in the morning, this hotel provided a welcome stop after a long day on the road. The front desk staff were professional and personable. The housekeeping staff and manager were very accommodating and took care of our special requests. The room is very spacious and we appreciated the paper plates, cups and utensils that were in our room and compliments of the hotel. The breakfast in the morning is very sufficient with waffles, eggs, sausage and a variety of yogurt, juices, toast, bagels, english muffins and cold cereal selections. The wifi worked great in our room but there was also a computer and printer in the lobby for guests to use. There is ample parking, an indoor pool and hot tub.
