My mother is visiting from North Carolina. We were at the Rogue Creamery and asked where to eat that served fresh-type food. Without hesitation the gal working said take a drive and go to the Downtown Market. As we approached the storefront, 3 men were leaving all talking about how good it was, that we would not be disappointed. 1st noticed it is very tiny, if everyone finds out about this place they are going to run out of seating quick. Maybe seating for 15 or 20? The kitchen is wide open for the world to see, (love that). Menu is small and we were told it changes daily or nearly so. In my opinion a small menu is another good sign. So far so good. We were seated at the same time as 3 other people and all ordered at the same time. We did have to wait for our food....if we were on a 1 hour work lunch schedule the wait was too long. My mother got a roast beef grilled sandwich with Swiss, caramelized onions, red pepper sauce. It was huge; we ate off of it 3 times. I got a meat lovers flatbread and asked for pesto sauce on the side. OMG it was awesome, I should have had two meals from it but I ate it all. We had iced tea too that was very good. We saw some of the other plates go out; the pasta salad looked wonderful, full of fresh veggies. The soups smelled delicious. We will go again before my Mom leaves, she wants the soup and 1/2 sandwich option next time.
