Description: Great local bistro that has been doing a great lunch and dinner business here in medford since 2008. We specialize in northern style cooking with our own northwest flair. Using local ingredients when we can. We have the largest local wine selection in the area. And also one of the first to have local really quality red and white wines on tap as well.

“Get there early to enjoy rich Italian food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

We enjoyed delicious Italian food at this Medford restaurant recently. The place was busy when we arrived at 7:30pm on a Saturday evening, so we were surprised to learn that in the summer they close the door to new customers at 8pm! Apparently they just don't get enough traffic to stay open longer--the tourists don't know how to find them and the locals prefer to eat Italian food in the winter ( that's what we were told!). It's not that hard to find--just a couple of miles and turns off the Garfield exit from I5, but until words gets around, if you want to try their tasty menu you should plan for an early dinner.

I had the Lemon Almond Chicken, which was lovely, though rather rich. Each flavor came through and also worked together. Another diner had the Chicken Pomodori, which was also quite good, but even richer. Our meals came with bread and enormous Caesar salads. FYI, the dressing was heavy on the garlic--fortunately we like that sort of thing, but not everyone does, so that might be something to discuss with your server. There are some lighter items on the menu if your tastes don't run to rich food, but we didn't try any of those. Perhaps if we had, we would have had room for desert, but unfortunately we did not...

Service was good, but a bit slow. Since they were unusually busy and we felt well cared for otherwise, it really wasn't an issue. If you are in a rush this isn't the place for you anyway.

The total cost was very reasonable for a sit down individually prepared and delicious meal: each of our entrees were $18 including salad and bread.

Great food, wine and service. Bananas Foster is a real treat. Enjoyed friendly, personable service. Our favorite evening out meeting and eating spot!

“Wonderful...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

My expectations coming in were quite high and the experience did not disappoint. I live locally and I return often due to the great service, food and atmosphere. I like to inquire about favored items on the menu and have had many of those items...but even branching out all over the menu...I have not found an item I would not order again. If you're local or a visitor come in and relax...you'll be glad you did.

“Yes - it deserves an excellent rating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

We pick this restaurant based upon other reviewers comments in Tripadvisor. Well we were not disappointed. We called ahead to make a reservation as it was a Friday night. When we arrived we were shown directly to our table. We were in the rear room which had a more romantic atmosphere. The server was on top of his game, attentive when necessary but not obnoxious and in your face. The menu had so many good items with great combinations it was really hard to choice. I was really torn between two items and asked the waiter for his recommendation. He convinced me to try their lemon chicken with Panko and a almond crust over homemade linguini and white sauce. Order this and you won't be disappointed. We ordered a bottle of wine as it is one of the few restaurants that has reasonable wine prices. My wife ordered Tiramisu and thought it was one of the best she ever had. in addition to the great service and food the price was so reasonable I had to double check to make sure they hadn't forget anything. We ate for $70, including the wine - not including the tip. A great fine
