“Breath taking vistas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Hiked to the top with kids and grand kids and had a rich experience. The climb is somewhat challenging but not what would be classified as difficult unless one is very out of shape.

“Wonderful Views”

Easy to get to and not terribly difficult this is an activity we have enjoyed many times. A great thing to do after a big meal.

“Table Rock-geologic time capsule”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Found Lower Table Rock the more interesting. Climb has some steep places, but in all, not too difficult. I used to take my sixth-graders here in the spring when the vernal pools on top still had water/tadpoles. Great views of the Rogue River and valley. Bring your lunch and relax.
Sight of Turkey Vulture rookery, depression-era gold mining attempt, and at one time proposed sight for Medford airport.

“Enjoy Medford's unique hiking experience.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

We hiked to the upper Table Rock and enjoyed breathtaking views . . . well worth the hike! The hike up is moderate exertion. We were lucky enough to see an airplaine fly over when we were on the plateau at the top. Be sure to visit in the spring when the wildflowers are in bloom. Some of these flowers are on the endangered list and unique to the Upper tablerock. Summer months would be a bit hot for the hike, as temperatures in Medford reach the 100's in summer.

“Upper Table Rock”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

Our family hiked up the 1.25 miles (2 km) Upper Table Rock trail, ascending approximately 720 feet (220 m). A lot of the resources we found called the hike easy, but we - three girls, ages 6 to 11, their fit Mom and overweight Dad - found it to be pretty challenging. The views from the top were nice, especially of Mount McLoughlin and we also felt it was worth it to get a better sense of the Table Rock formations themselves. So, we're glad we took it on, especially since the Lower Table Rock trail is said to be even harder.
