We have eaten at La Rambla about eight times, whenever we can get to McMinnville. To begin, it is located on the charming downtown main street (Third Avenue I believe), which is full of interesting shops, wine bars and good restaurants. There are mature trees lining the sidewalks with small white lights that add ambiance at night. The restaurant has that small, local feel as soon as you walk in. The lighting is warm and inviting, like a crackling fire on a cold winter's night. The light shades hanging throughout the restaurant are all made of hand blown glass, adding an artisan's touch. But, the best of all, is that the food is fabulous every time. They primarily serve tapas but also offer some main dishes as well. Among the many creative dishes, the lamb tacos were a delightful surprise as were the bacon-wrapped figs. The wine list includes a wide assortment of Spanish offerings, which we love, and every one has been very enjoyable. The service is always friendly and most servers are quite knowledgeable about the wine and the food. The only dish that did not impress us was the Paella, which we would not bother ordering again. Everything else brings us running back whenever possible!
