“Nice place in McMinnville”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

We went to this place based on reviews in Yelp, which were very good. We were not disappointed. It's a very nice looking restaurant, very modern and nice interior. Also, we had a booth which gave us lots of privacy. We had our grandson with us and they took great care of him, so it's a good place for kids although you wouldn't think that at first glance. We had the pork belly appetizer, and even though it doesn't sound all that appetizing, it was actually very good and we would recommend it. I had the pork chop which was just perfect and my wife had salad and soup -also very good. Not a lot of people were there and several came in for to go orders.

“Better than average food, strange location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

I commend the chef for trying to make this space work - but it is right off the highway next to a budget hotel. Hardly a romantic setting. However, it was full by the time we left - every table full. The chickpea fritters were not what I had expected, and were more like a falafel than whole chickpeas which were then made into a fritter. Not wanting a pasta (the only vegetarian dinner entree which didn't seem inspired), I just had the fritters and a salad. My husband enjoyed the burger, especially since he got to add a fried egg to it. Staff was certainly capable but seemed rushed when the whole restaurant was full.

“Different in a good way.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

The food here is very good and they have a great chef. Don't expect the norm here. The food is very different and a bit pricey. The crab cakes, seafood special (which is always something different) and the burger are especially great but I haven't tried everything. It is small but the wait staff is very friendly and make the experience great. They have a nice local wine selection, as you would expect in McMinnville! It's a place we have been on several occasions just because we know the food is consistently good.

“Great Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

A very casual place for a great lunch in the heart of McMinnville. Had the grilled cheese and a salad and enjoyed both.

“First night in McMinville”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

We arrived fairly late and didn't want to drive and Walnut City was very close to our hotel. What a wonderful surprise it was. The service was great, the chefs are terrific and the whole experience worth it.
We had a group and had made reservations. The restaurant is on the smaller side and not fancy but well worth the stop. The steelhead was delicious, the burger great and the salads good.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Our server, Brandon, was very helpful with the wine list which prompted us to try some vineyards that we had not planned on visiting.
