“Worth a visit just to see the museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

What a fantastic museum, one of the best I've ever been to. The Spruce Goose is the star attraction, but there is many more things to see.

“what a place to learn, be amazed and enjoy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

While the spruce goose is the main attraction, there is so much more to see and do. Plan on spending at least a half day to enjoy both air museums. You wont be disappointed. Great for the young, young at heart and everyone else at any age.

“Something for everyone!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

This was a fun afternoon and close to home... who knew! Between McMinnville and Dayton, OR on Rt. 18 is a great complex of entertainment opportunities. There is a theater and a water park with a 747 on top of it ~ with water slide tubes coming out of it... incredible! We visited the space and aviation museums. Both are very well done, very informative and well staffed with friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. The space museum details the "space race" from beginning to current endeavors. It has lots of fascinating information and artifacts from the Soviet space programs as well as many items from the US programs. The aviation museum contains the Spruce Goose, which is breathtaking in its enormity. Both museums contain many, many aircraft of all kinds - beautifully restored with informative signs, videos (with seating - airplane seats, what else!?!) all through the museums. There are activities for kids and a playground outside. It is a very worthwhile stop for visitors and Oregonians who may remember the Spruce Goose arriving in OR in 1993 but may not have visited.

“Pleasantly surprized! GO!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

We had driven past for years, and this was the perfect spot on a rainy afternoon. We were here for over four hours, the number of aircraft was staggering. Each one beautifully restored with tons of info about each on a chart nearby. The spruce goose of Howard Hughes fame is here and 10 times better than when it was in Long Beach. All of the planes from WW II are repesented with some battlefield info. My favorite was the flying tiger and the B17. Learned alot painlessly about the US and Russian space program in the separate aerospace museum. Ate at the snack bar, looked pricy but the hot dog was good and came with chips. Only draw back was the price, but we used our AAA card and got a 20% discount. In the end it was well worth it. Beautifully done even the restrooms.

“Spend a Day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

What a great museum. Airplanes, space craft, guns, the Spruce Goose and fabulous docents. We spent a day there and didn't finish. Seeing the Spruce Goose in the flesh is worth the price of admission.
