We have stayed at the Red Lion twice in the past two months for business in McMinnville. The rooms are pretty spacious and clean; besides the two beds, there is a sitting area and desk. They have amentities such as microwave, fridge, in-room safe, etc. In the lobby they have a cooler case of local wines and some beers to purchase for a reasonable price. There is also internet access in the lobby.

We didn't use the pool or spa; they looked a little small but decent. The breakfast served in the morning is more than substantial.

The only drawback was that the hotel, at times, was a symphony of strange smells.

The location is convenient (close to the aviation museum), and we thought the price was right. Our room (with a king size bed) was nice and large. It had a good-sized couch. The microwave was also handy. The decor and bedding had the standard hotel look, but it was all clean. The pool was quite warm. Breakfast was really nice. They have batter so that you can make your own fresh waffles. They also had hard-boiled eggs, cereal, milk, juice, donuts, oatmeal...

I would stay again. The rooms were clean and quiet. The down side... the breakfast had a lot to be desired. However, there is a McDonald's next door. I would recommend staying at this hotel and eating at Nick's Italian restaurant. There are other good restaurants in the area.
