Stopped for breakfast today and enjoyed the pork hash with egg. The hash was delightful and seasoned just right but the egg ordered over easy was delivered over medium. Not acceptable for a restaurant that only serves breakfast and lunch. And no Tabasco sauce? For a place that serves eggs to not offer Tabasco is not good. They offed only Tapatio and while delicious, it is just to the same for eggs. Also with the hash no toast or biscuit to push things around and for $9 for a counter service restaurant that doesn't even deliver the plates to your table, well let's just say I'm glad I didn't toss anything into the tip jar on the counter before we received our food as after I decided not to either.
Mum had the biscuits and gravy, the biscuit was tough and the overall dish not terribly hot when we collected it (from the counter ourselves remember). The gravy loaded with homemade sausage was overpowered with the flavor of fennel and just not exactly a breakfast flavor.
I love places that imagine new into retaining of breakfast dishes but over cooked eggs, overly fennel flavored sausage gravy and tough biscuits just don't cut it for $9 when you receive no table service and even need to collect your own silverware, napkins and water then bus your own table.
The high point is they serve Stumptown coffee. That's not really enough to bring me back unfortunately.
