Community Plate embodies the best of what we love about rural Oregon. They offer a succinct brunch menu of staples and daily specials that are carefully prepared using many local ingredients, yet do not overload the plate with the usual greasy brunch offerings. My scramble of eggs with crimini mushrooms, leeks, and baby broccoli was the perfect beginning to a day in wine country. It came with tiny delicately prepared "home fries" and toast. The pancakes are served in a normal portion size, not as a plate that could feed an army.
The ambience is that of a welcoming hipster barn, whether you are there alone to linger over coffee and a scone, or to share one of the large, roomy tables for 10. Will definitely return when back in town.
