“A foodies paradise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Thistle is incredible. The service by Emily was superb. Cocktails by Patrick fantastic. Presentation of food and originality was outstanding. My only complaint was it was rather warm and very busy. Felt a little rushed towards the end but all in all a great experience. Be sure and make reservations.

“We love Thistle!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

The food and atmosphere here are fantastic! It is quaint and small so be sure and make reservations, especially during the tourist season. The menu is limited but the way the flavors are put together in the dishes is outstanding and always fresh from local farm suppliers. The wine and cocktails compliment the dishes. Just ask the server to help you with the wine selection. The servings are small so if you are looking for large portions, this is not the place to go. The deliciousness of the food makes up for the portion size. I should also add that this is not an inexpensive place to eat but worth every penny!

“Amazing food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

It is very cool and trendy and is not inexpensive but the food is absolutely superb. My partner and I went there for dinner one evening. The service was excellent. The restaurant is small but feels very homey. This was a great find!

“Great food, great fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014 via mobile

The Thistle is a small funky farm-to-fork diner hidden in the Mayberry part of McMinnville. We enjoyed it thoroughly. The diner selection was small but inviting enough that it was hard to chose. I settled on the evening "Chef's Whim" which was a creative combination of rabbit and spices including - omg - stinging nettles! Thankfully, as the waitress assured me with a smile ahead of time, the sting disappeared with the sautéing. It was perfectly served, evenly balanced and nicely flavored.

Try McMineville's Thistle! Funky, fun and flavorful.

“Bar Only Review”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2014

Have never actually eaten dinner at Thistle but have been to the bar multiple times. Patrick the bartender is wonderful! He mixes a mean cocktail and has a great selection of wine. If there's nothing on the cocktail menu that you want, just tell him what types of things you like and he'll create a wonderful drink for you.
