“Fun, But !”

Great trip, over night plus the McKenzie raft trip. Cool people running the rafting, BUT, the lady at the desk was unnecessarily rude to customers.

If you're a motorhome enthusiast ---there are plenty of gorgeous campgrounds in this area at better prices. If you really need a warm dunk in a pool, pop in, but beware, the attitude is, "We don't need your business."

Staff appears new so there must have been a turn over. Must be a bad place to work if everyone is so unhappy and dumping that negativity in the customers.

I came despite the negative reviews thinking it couldn't be that bad---BUT IT IS THAT BAD!

I had a room in the Lodge. Carpet was so bad I kept my shoes on until I climbed into bed. No Micro or coffee in room, no TV. They "say" they have wifi in the lodge, but don't count on it.

Place was overran with people, parking around the lodge was hard to get.

Lots of activities for young families, swimming pool, hiking, fishing, rafting. This place also has campings sites, that I'm sure are cleaner than the rooms!

Beautiful area, so very much Oregon. This is not the place for mature adults. There are many places with cabins along the river that maybe a better choice.

We stayed in the three bedroom, two story cabin and were thoroughly disappointed for what we were charged. It was in the low 80's that weekend. The air conditioning did not work. The majority of the windows and sliders had no screens on them so you could not open the windows to cause a draft. Many of the windows and the main slider did not have any locks on them. One of the windows came completely off the track when we tried to open it, and the fix by the maintenance crew was to prop it open with a stick! There is no way that the management does not know about these problems and obviously have chosen to ignore them. We were told the only room service provided was to pick up the garbage and provide new linens/towels. That did not happen either. We had to call the front desk to complain. Light bulbs were missing or burnt out in two of the lamps. The pots and pans were so filthy looking that you did not want to cook in them. The cutting board had bread crumbs and lettuce on it from some previous guests and no one bothered to clean up the mess. The only positive thing about our stay was that Rhett at the front desk was trying his best to make things better for us.....including trying unsuccessfully to fix the air conditioner.

The grounds are pleasing and generally well kept up and the McKenzie River makes it worth a stop to see during the day.....but we would NEVER stay there overnight again!!!!!!!

My mom and I go on a trip together every year. We have traveled and stayed at the Heceta Head Lighthouse, Lithia Springs in Ashland, and the Out N' About tree house in Cave Junction (just to name a few). So, needless to say, we like adventure. Belknap Hot Springs was NOT a good adventure. First, my mom is disabled. It would have been nice to know that there was not an elevator before I booked a third floor room. Their donut and bagel which serves as their continental breakfast is only available for one hour--better be quick if you want to eat (and early). Finally, there was a TV in the room but no TV channels. Again, this would have been nice to know. Perhaps some information could have been stated on their website that they do not have TV or phone in the room? Oh, but they are more than happy to charge $4 to rent a DVD movie. Or you can watch TV in the lobby and they'll even change the channel for you. Wow! It's the stingy amenities that really disappointed me. We paid $400 for a weekend and we were without hot water in our room for a day and a half. And after paying $400, we were informed that we have to do our own dishes or be charged $20. So, I'm paying $200 a night and STILL doing my own dishes. I could have stayed home and done that for free. Oh, and what everyone says about their terrible service is spot on. Service is AWFUL! The setting is beautiful. Although the map to their gardens is worthless. If you're looking for a hot springs and a good value for your money, go to KahNeeta. They have an awesome hot springs pool that goes ten to twelve feet deep and a water slide. Not only that, but their rooms are absolutely beautiful, and the customer service is warm and friendly.

Very, very disappointing place to stay.

We stayed in the campground with our RV. Loved sleeping to sound of the McKenzie river. Very soothing! The grounds were gorgeous; ponds, river, walking bridges, and flowers everywhere. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Campers were friendly too. Loved the hot pools. Not as hot as hot tubs, but hot enough to relax the muscles. You can stay in longer than a hot tub.

We were trying to have a nice "care-giver" break and this was not it! The room was stifling..we were told "most people say it's too cold" We complained that no phone, no peephole, and no extra lock on the door was unsafe...we were told "nothing bad ever happens here." The next morning when I inquired about the continental breakfast, I was told if we were going to stay they didn't want to hear any b*tching like the night before because we were there for fun" They had electrical cords everywhere, instead of working A/C we got an oscillating fan(to turn it off you had to unplug it) There was garbage under the bed, and they had the super cheap toilet paper under lockdown. Apparently if you can afford to pay $125+tax a night your going to steal the 1 ply (still has twigs) toilet paper. The ceiling was bowing downward and the bed was broken in the middle, when we sat at the top the bottom of the bed went up in the air. So not worth the price and now they keep trying to charge me for the second night even though I left. Oh I almost forgot the best part, we could hear people in other rooms using the restroom and not just the tub running if you know what I mean.
