“its ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

the food is good and plentiful, nothing to write home about though. Its often also very chilly in there. Service is sketchy, hit or miss. All in all, a convenient place to grab a bite. Not a destination for us.

“Full service,Great food, Friendly efficient service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

Living part-time in Cannon Beach we have enjoyed several breakfasts, lunches and dinners since our first visit just over a year ago, often with friends and have found The Wave to be a gem among restaurants on the Oregon north coast. Walking through the door the friendliness of the staff is immediately apparent and this carries over throughout the meal. The owners Brian and Carol have assembled a wonderful team making this a restaurant you want to return to. This evening among the entrees we devoured the Salmon fajitas stood out; 2 days ago at breakfast the Crab Benny was a showstopper. Try The Wave, you'll love it.

“Great menu, service, and setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Everything made in-house with as many fresh, NW sourced ingredients as possible. The pan fried oyster entrée is more than enough to fill the biggest eater (they were really well done and that's from a Louisiana guy), appetizer crab cakes and calamari were lightly prepared - not overly fried and very enjoyable. Kids enjoyed their mac and cheese and chicken fingers...could not get them to branch out into the multitude of regional offerings, though both were homemade. Dessert was cheesecake with a raspberry coulis and my wife had the CHOCOLATE cake. The chocolate flavor was that big. The raspberry coulis was my favorite item in an excellent meal (might sound odd, but it was just that good).

We enjoyed our dinner so much we returned a couple of mornings later for breakfast...equally impressive. Enjoy the coffee, which is roasted nearby and has a great flavor.

“Family friendly, good food at a fair price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Brian has improved this restaurant and brought in a wonderful family friendly atmosphere with thoughtful delishious presentation of well liked foods.

We enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on a regular basis and have found that we certainly have our favorites we like to eat over and over again! If you like chicken fried steak for breakfast, try theirs! Chicken nachos are a favorite when we aren't too hungry! Try spliting a Tsunami burger! Just delish! Nummmmmmy! Enjoy!

“Food good, Staff Too Preoccupied with Socializing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

There were probably 5-6 staff persons on the restaurant floor. Only 1 young lady was waiting on 5 different customers. The other 5 staff (one of which was our waiter) stood behind the bar, talking, texting, laughing as well as seeming to be talking about the one waitress that was working. We were not in a hurry but did have to wait 15 minutes before the waitre did show up to take our order, and then he never returned to our table until we stood up to leave-then he brought the check quickly.
