“Charmless Motel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

A clean but charmless hotel attached to a casino. Very poor sound deadening in the older south building. This is a place for a young family that may be short on funds and just need a clean place to visit the beach. The dining was mediocre, but not bad. Staff was very nice.

Great location at beach, but the room we had was car from great. Musty smell at first(opened the windows to get air flow). Partly remodeled room which shouldn't be allowed to be used for paying guests. Room for is in dire need of replacement because of the numerous shoddy repairs, and the bottom of the bath door is falling apart.

The hotel is very old and in poor shape. The hotel has an outside entrance and across the parking lot from the casino. The door to our room was very old and had been painted over many times, and didn't shut completely. The walls between rooms were thin and we could easily hear people next door. The bedding and towels were clean and in good shape. The positive about this location is the gorgeous view of the ocean and beach access close by. This hotel is definitely not a resort in any manner, but the web price room fee was an attraction. Although the view was great and employees friendly, I will stay in a nicer place when I return.

Room Tip: Building C was centrally located and we stayed on 2nd floor. No a/c in hotel

Was told we would be in a room with ocean view. we got to the room and we saw a cement wall in cars and another condo. yes we did see the ocean if we would step on the deck and look right.if we would have been told that it was a partial ocean view we would have gotten a nicer room with a true ocean view two hotels down for half the price. when we went to address the situation we were told it's an ocean view from the balcony that was never conveyed to us when we were getting the room. we went to speak to the manager the next morning and conveniently she was in a meeting.

GREAT BEACH ACCESS- room is beat up.Staff very nice. Lower your expectations. Casino food was ok.Did not feel safe at first, walked wife to/from casino at night. Room felt like heavy drinkers stayed during summer.Pipes and exposed crap hanging in hallway. rag stuffed under sink plumbing. Uck.

Room Tip: gamble/walk on beach.keep your eye on your stuff/kids.

The view is amazing but won't stay again. Wish as pet owners we too got the chance for plush rooms with balconies, but nope. The room in building C was straight from the 80's. Peeling paint on sideboards. Beds as hard as concrete, loud party goers walking & hanging by our room at 3 am, fridge freezer not working. Signs everywhere to not walk your dog in the grass & signs on building "no pets allowed". They assigned the room so we ignored the signs. Very disappointed.

I get into the room #221 and it was hot and stuffy from being closed up for awhile. I opened up the windows and there wasnt much of a breeze...the day had been sunny and warm. I couldn't find the A/C unit. I call down to the desk and find out there is no a/c in the rooms. Was told,"you are on the coast and a/c is not needed. " They sent me up a table fan. It finally did cool off but my first night there was uncomfortable. All units have stairs to walk up and down....even the first floor you walk down a flight of stairs. The casino is not close by if you have trouble walking. We ended up driving back and forth from the room to casino and back again. All things considered we had a fun time there but next time I would consider another hotel room off premises. Since we drove anyway what would be the difference of driving a little farther to get a/c in the rooms and rooms that were a bit "older arthritic people friendly."
