We stumbled upon the Sea Gypsy back in 1987. We have 5 daughters, and finding a hotel that accomodates that a family of 7 is so difficult.
Our family scrapbook is FULL OF PICTURES of our many stays at the Sea Gypsy. We've probably stayed there 6 or 7 times. We CAN'T WAIT to get back, and introduce our newest daughter (2 years old and ready for travelling) to the Pacific Ocean. Our memories are very fond, and we love leaving the Rocky Mountains, on a trek to the ocean. It's 1454 miles from our driveway to the parking lot of the Sea Gypsy motel...and that drive is well worth it as soon as we arrive! (Not to mention the drop of 5,280 feet along the way). From Mile High to Sea Level is amazing!! The only thing that could make it any better is to have a Frequent User punch card. To our family, SEA GYPSY means VACATION!!

I have taken my grandchildren to the Oregon coast and stayed at Sea Gypsy for several years. I found the accommodations to be clean and comfortable without being so fancy as to be cost prohibitive. The family units easily allow room for my husband, my 3 grandchildren and myself, with direct access to the beach and within walking distance of several good eateries. The kitchen in our unit was well equipped and the beds were comfortable (even the rollaway).The swimming pool (a favorite of the kids) is large enough that you aren't in other people's way, I could watch the kids easily and there were towels aplenty.
