“Christmas in Lincoln City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

Our family decided to do something different this year for Christmas, so we headed to the beach! As it turned out, most of the ocean front hotels were booked, so we took a chance and stayed some place where we've never been before, right on the highway. Since it gets so dark so early, we figured that if we wanted to see the ocean, we could always go to a bar. ;) We booked two rooms for two nights and we were all pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The rooms were newly decorated with fireplaces, microwaves and fridges, and very nice linens. We could actually see the ocean through the trees, which made a very nice view. And it was surprisingly quiet! The staff was great. Another little surprise was the selection of micro-brews and wines that were available at the gift shop. We will stay there again.

Ok, first of all, they have in the last 2+ years only had one person give them a one star review and that person obviously did no read their website pet policy as it is listed very clearly. Also, that person did not even stay at the hotel, so should not have reviewed it. This place is wonderful!!
We just stayed here after staying in a wonderful Jacuzzi suite at the Hallmark Inn in Newport, Or. It was great, (I highly recommend staying there at least once) but it was also $159 plus tax. Come to Lincoln City, Inn at Wecome for $62 plus tax, top floor, king room.

Wow. Oh Wow. I have to say, this was as good a stay for the price. It is NOT on the beach so don't expect that. It is off the main street through Lincoln City so ask for a backside room for quiet. But they were so So friendly at check in, everything was so clean, smelled new, the room was huge, fridge, micro, flat screen tv, king bed (wonderful) large bathroom, couch, desk, deck off room, ocean view, etc, for $62!!!! And we could have had breakfast also as part of room cost, but did not make it. Plenty of hot water, lots of pillows, great bed, view, never heard another guest (of course this was in Dec, not in summer), they even called the room after 30 minutes to make sure everything was good. Pool is open to 10 for open swim, then from 10-12pm for adults only, also nice.

This hotel will even offer a romance or birthday package for $39, with champagne, cake, flowers, movies, late check out, etc. Even in room massages also, on-site fitness center, pool, hot tub, etc. They are just on hwy 22 right through town, a mile or so from the casino, right next door to an arcade, a pizza house, coffee house and other shops.

WE loved everything and this place equaled the $150 rooms we have paid for in cleanliness, amenities, staff, just not as close to the beach. Hands down, a winner! We will be back in February for my b-day and also try your sister property, Inn at Nye Beach in Newport, thanks!

Room Tip: DEFINITELY ask for the top floor, North end if possible, you get the best view of the ocean. It was...

It started with our check in that was late due to a horrific traffic accident that delayed our trip by 4 hours. The young lady at the front desk asked how my day was, and I told her it wasn't shaping up to be that great due to the delay. She asked if there was anything she could do to make it better for me. I jokingly said you could give me a better room. I had paid for a no frills queen room, but got the best room in the building (room 323). It has a king bed, fireplace and balcony with the only unobstructed view of the ocean....it was the best room in the hotel for sure!!! We also took advantage of the pool and spa. They also have a steam sauna. There are also beach bike rentals for the whole day at a bargain price of only $10. Could it be any better??? There is also a breakfast included which was just okay. Good pastries, juices and coffee. They have hard boiled eggs and really good hash browns, but no meats. Not bad though.

Room Tip: Get an ocean side room...odd numbers. If you can get it, 323 is the best one in the hotel!!

Green Features: They only change the towels if you want them changed to save energy. Standard stuff these days.

This hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly. The complimentary breakfast is much better than most places we have stayed, with a variety of choices. Beds very comfortable! Would stay again!

Room Tip: We were upgraded to a king/fireplace/balcony room for the cost of a regular room. It was very spacio...

Great place for a warm wonderful nights stay. The staff is probably the friendliest and helpful on the coast. From the Molli who helped me make my reservations to the woman at check in and back to Molli at check out the entire experience was a dream. Call the hotel for a great rate ! Breakfast was a very nice touch and welcome to have it at the hotel and not to have to search for a place to eat before getting on the road.

This hotel is NOT on the beach, but you can see it from the hotel rooms on the backside, you can hear it from your room.

I will stay here on my next trip thru Lincoln City. I give this place a great two thumbs up !!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the backside of the hotel, they have a view of the ocean down the street.

Thank you for your lovely review, Melanie. We are honored that you consider our staff to be "probably the friendliest and most helpful on the coast." All of our staff are friendly and helpful, but those traits describe Mollie particularly well, who I'm very happy you mentioned. She truly is an exceptional employee and person.

Every year we spend our anniversary in Lincoln City. My husband I found this place to be the friendliest, quietest, and relaxing property we have stayed. The excellent priced rooms were large with a romantic fireplace and black-out curtains that actually allowed us to sleep in without any light coming into the room. A wonderful experience. I can't say enough.

Room Tip: Third floor King fireplace room are spacious, quiet and have a distant view of ocean.
