“A little dissapointed..”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

Easy to find.

Very clean

Make sure you confirm the type of room you have requested. We wanted a handicap friendly room for my grandma and didn't get one. We stayed for two nights because we were going along the coast of Oregon. My grandma couldn't shower because it was way too high and that made me pretty angry. We asked if they had another room and they didn't. They did try to make it up to us by waiving a couple of fees but it was nonetheless disappointing. We've been coming to this hotel every time we travel to the Oregon coast and we feel like maybe it's time to move on. it's not the right hotel for us anymore.

The staff was friendly, particularly the gentleman that takes care of stocking breakfast for everyone was a very nice and polite man. We noticed that he interacted with people and ask them if he could get them anything. It was very nice. He was very professional. Thank you Adrian!

Dear Jai F, I am glad you enjoyed our location, cleanliness, and Adrian's breakfast service. Adrian truly is outstanding. I apologize that we were not able to move you into a handicapped accessible room. We have three ADA compliant handicapped accessible rooms in our hotel. On your reservation, it did not appear that you requested a handicapped room. In the height of summer, it is often not possible to move rooms, as all rooms may be occupied. This was unfortunately the case in your situation. We did lower your rate since we felt bad your grandma was unable to shower. I very much hope you and your grandma do decide to return and next time request a handicapped room with a roll-in-shower in advance.

Came up on a random web search and also in the coupon book at Tanger outlet so we decided to give it a try. Pleased to be offered a family room at a reasonable price. Enjoyed the indoor pool/spa area in the rain. Extremely impressed by the service in the breakfast room by Adrian. He effortlessly kept up with the demands, kept the place clean and filled up everything as needed. It looked like he enjoys his job.

Stayed here with my family in August. Our room was not ready when we arrived at 4.30pm. They showed us another similar (non-smoking) room which was ready, but my daughter found the smell of stale smoke unacceptable for her 2 small children. We were given a clean room nearby and an apology. My big gripe was the cheap plastic disposable cutlery in the dining room, not to mention the paper plates - what is going on in a hotel that is not cheap. They got real cutlery for our last day, but only stretched to plastic plates. This is basic seaside accommodation and nothing more - there is a very small swimming pool and exercise room providing 2 pieces of equipment which are not in working order.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back of the hotel overlooking the rear car park are probably best.

Green Features: Not environmentally friendly if they only provide plastic cutlery.

Dear Lovestowalk,
I sincerely apologize about your room not being ready until after our guaranteed checkin time of 4pm. I hope the front desk apologized and offered to comp you a 2pm late checkout, unlimited DVD rentals, and a bottle of wine or other items from our marketplace, as that is our policy in the rare times we cannot have a guestroom ready by 4pm. We are a non-smoking hotel, and we deal with those who smoke in the hotel very seriously due to the aggravation it causes others. I apologize that someone smoked in your room previously, and am happy that we were able to swiftly move you into another room. During your stay, we switched over from paper plates and plastic utensils to silverware, hard cutlery, and hard cups and mugs. The new plates and bowls are made from a polycarbonate plastic and the cups from a SAN plastic, as these materials are shatter-free, scratch and stain resistant, light in weight, and help keep costs down. Our treadmill, elliptical machine, and all other exercise equipment is now in working order. In addition to our swimming pool, we also have a hot tub, sauna, and a patio w/ a BBQ grill for guest use and shuffleboard court.

Very friendly staff, very attractive rooms. The Hotel is much nicer inside than out. The Hotel is not right on the beach, but there are some sea views. It is a six block walk, downhill to the beach. Breakfast is good, but would be improved by serving something other than cold hard boiled eggs. For touring the coast, this was a good choice.

Staff very friendly, especially Mollie at the front desk. Good location, pretty central to beaches, casino and restaurants. Very clean rooms with comfortable beds and fridge and microwave but no air conditioning. We were given a portable air conditioner which worked fine for us, otherwise it would have been very noisy with the window open as our front room faced Hwy 101. Nice size pool and whirlpool. Breakfast could be better, maybe more cereal, bread and muffin selections. Canadians don't eat biscuits and gravy so maybe something hot other than that and pancakes and hashbrowns. Coffee wasn't very good, too weak, even the dark roast. We ended up getting coffee every morning from the coffee shop next door after the first morning.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back may be quieter as hotel is right on Hwy 101. No air conditioning but you can ask f...

Wow, this place was clean beyond expectation. It was a perfect location. Even if it is not directly on the beach. Some parts of the beach can be smelly so I did not mind not being right on the beach. Staff and town very friendly. Decorations are very stylish and perfectly assigned. Even better it was so reasonably priced.

Room Tip: Right on Hwy 101 so you will need to be patient when turning left.
