While visiting Lincoln City for the weekend, we purchased groceries one afternoon. The clerk was very pleasant and commented that it had been a long day, but her shift would soon end and she'd looked forward to coffee and a pastry at her favorite place in town. We asked where it was, and she gave us directions.
Next day, as we returned from Depoe Bay, we saw the shop and paused for coffee and a pastry. After a brownie and a chocolate petite pain, it became clearly obvious that we'd do well to purchase a dozen cookies also! These are not mass-produced, but they're the product of a shared effort by a couple of interesting people to make something delicious. Perfect? Every baked item is a noble experiment!
Captain Dan's is a small shop, perhaps easily overlooked, bit it deserves my recommendation, and I think you'll enjoy it also.
