“Comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

Very friendly when I called to make the reservation & very welcoming on our arrival to ensure our comfort. An older place, shows a lot of wear & tear but all very clean & very pet friendly. A fair price for a place in the middle of nowhere in the "highest City above sea level in Oregon". They displayed a Trip Advisor decal & proud of it! Yes I would recommend.

Older hotel not updated or well taken care of. Poorly painted over marks on walls, shabbily repaired holes in doors, crappy curtains that are hard to manipulate. Clean and comfortable. My room had a kitchenette. Didn't include a full size fridge, but bigger than the normal mini fridge we're all used to in most hotels. Just don't trust the freezer, it gave me frozen ice, but did not keep my frozen vegetables frozen. Very comfortable King size bed. Friendly owner. No flat screen.

We chose this motel based partly on tripadvisor reviews and what a shock! The beds were adequate but certainly not that comfortable. The room was very small and had an odor that was unappealing. It was a chilly night and the only heat source was a small portable electric heater that plugged in right over the vanity sink. There was a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker all plugged in to the same extension cord. None worked so a fuse must have blown. Needless to say, the heater wasn't safe to leave on for more than a few minutes in the crowded conditions. The staff was friendly and accommodating--brought ice cubes from their own refrigerator since the inn didn't have an ice maker--but the room was bad. Wouldn't stay here again nor recommend it to anyone else.

we are new managers and had been here only a week...its ethical to go to the manager first with an issue before presuming the worst to others...we should have been told the heater was plugged into the wrong socket (an accident by the housekeeper?)...it was very easy to re route the cord to its proper outlet behind the dresser...if this had been brought to our attention then all of this writing wouldnt have been necessary..we are very proud of our motel...and every day we continue to make our rooms better and cleaner...and ethically, i have contacted the patrons first before i put my comments on...manager

Called while on the road...surprised by the upbeat, friendly management who assured us there was a room @ the inn that would be ready for our arrival..and he would turn the a/c on which Was thoughtful. The room was comphy, clean and he went out of his way to find the perfect place off the road to stow the car trailer we were towing! We've been on the road 18 out of the last 24 days and stayed in a lot of hotels...this was not the fanciest but ranked right up there for the GREAT value and service!!

Room Tip: We asked for a ground floor and got #134...there is a Les Schwab across the street but it was quiet...

My wife and I have traveled all over rural America and excellent accommodations can be down right hard to find.

Well if your going to Lakeview Oregon you need look no farther. Upon arrival we were met by quite possibly the friendliest and most accommodating Staff ever. We stayed for 3 nights and several times everyday we saw and spoke to the manager. He always had a smile on his face and would make sure things were okay and wish us a good day.

Our room was so quiet I overslept one day, no big deal we were there to relax.

Our room was great and given the price we were surprised at how big it was. We were in Lakeview during a Hot Spell but the AC was so good it could make you cold. The refrigerator worked great and the microwave was just what we needed.

We have stayed in several hotels in Lakeview thru the years and may be going back in a few months. We will be staying here from now on. Like in many small towns there is a gem of a place to stay. In Lakeview Oregon this is a High Desert Gem indeed.

Room Tip: If you have any needs I would just ask the manager for help. He will do his best to make your stay p...

We arrived later than expected and had an extra person. The manager nicely provided a very comfortable roll-away bed and was very accommodating in every respect. As others have noted the rooms could maybe use an update of the decor, but they are very clean and the beds are quite comfortable, so I don't really care about the decor.

I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Lakeview.

This is our favorite place to stay in Lakeview! There are rooms available with kitchinettes, and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms look a little run down, but they're very clean and comfortable to stay in. The best part is that the manager is so friendly! He overheard me saying to my boyfriend that I needed to get coffee, and he immediately offered me extra coffee for the room! We've stayed here twice now, and will do so again the next time we're in Lakeview.
