“Absolutely wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

Bob and Barbara, the owners, were the most wonderful people I've ever encountered on the road. Seriously, incredible. I like doing business with great people.

The room was comfortable. The beds in the room we stayed in were very firm, not to my liking, but to the liking of my father:). Great location. Very clean. Jerry's restaurant a block away had the best breakfast I've ever had at a restaurant.

It was here that Barbara tracked us down to deliver a pillow that we had left behind. Incredible!

I can't say enough good things about these two and their hotel.

Some may say it's a little dated, but I think it added to the charm. Definitely added to the charm. I loved it.

I'd stay here for sure and would recommend it to anyone:)

Room Tip: We stayed in a corner room, very spacious.

The chairs in the room were filthy. A room with a brick wall and with wood beams overhead and a green tiled bathroom spell outdated. The sheets were thread bare and pillows smelled musty. Not what we were expecting for the price. It appeared that the owners did care as they were watering flowers outside to make it look somewhat nice.

The lady at the front desk was pleasant and friendly , and her English accent seemed authentic .
Things went downhill from there , however . The carpet , furniture, and bedspread appeared to have never been cleaned . The wall heater was loud and ineffective , and the bathroom was as cold and non-functional as an English morgue . The shower and sink spewed what appeared to be 'non-potable' water before finally clearing up , but this proved a bit unnerving , particularly since clean water in this part of the country is usually plentiful and ubiquitous . The sink was dirty
also , which was the proverbial 'icing on the cake' , and exacerbated an unpleasant experience all around . Next time I'll sleep in my car .

Have stayed there on several trips.Nice and quiet and close to good and Safeway store. Also pet friendley. Rooms are clean and you have a choice of smoking or non smoking. And plenty of Hot water and TV channels.(

Okay...If I were you, I'd want the truth. We stayed in room in 49. This motel is not as clean as others claim. The floors are not clean and carpeting is old and musty. The bathroom has been renovated, so on surface it appears clean. however, window sills and floors in that room were also not clean. The furniture and lighting is retro....1970s swag lamp and press board night stands. The water has a yellow tinge and the wash cloths and towels are literally paper thin. The motel is cheap....only $68, but you if you have even the slightest aversion to germs please avoid this place.

We needed a place to stay that was better than one of the other hotels and we definitely found it! it is older but clean and roomy. The desk was nice and the wifi was great too! Next time we are in Lakeview, we will be staying here!

Room Tip: Spa is available for guests

I've stayed at the Lakeview Lodge about a dozen times in the last 15 years. It's a classic U-shaped motor lodge, similar to the ones my family used to stay in on summer vacations throughout the western US in the 1960's. The Lakeview Lodge is located a block off the main highway through Lakeview, so it's quieter than many of the other motels in town, but still close enough for easy walking to restaurants, shops, parks, and the swimming pool. It doesn't have fancy amenities like some newer motels/hotels, but it's a comfortable, cool, quiet place to stay and the price is reasonable. The owners provide very good service and I've never had a bad room here. Worth mentioning for families: they have a couple of suites available with two queen beds in one room and one queen bed in a separate room. The Lakeview Lodge is my favorite place to stay in Lakeview.
