“What a dump”

We booked two adjoining rooms for our family of five. Upon arrival, there were no adjoining rooms, so we were "upgraded" to a suite. The
crib I had requested (and confirmed) prior to our stay was also not available, so our little one had to sleep on the foldout bed.

The room was not good. There was old food under the sofa, the doors were falling off the closet, mildew on the tile in the bathroom - just to name a few things. Two lightbulbs were out, and were never replaced despite two requests.

The staff was nice enough, but things did not get fixed or done.

I posted this same review a couple of months ago, after out disappointing stay, but for some reason it is not on the site. So as I am planning another trip to Lake Oswego, I am re-posting this review.

I was only at the hotel one night, but it was below average for a Crowne.

It had a indoor waterfall and that may be the reason the entire hotel
smelled like a wet basement. That musty smell.

The front desk staff was overworked and unfriendly. It seemed to be a
bother to check me in, look for a box I had delivered, or check me out. I stood at the front desk for 15 mins waiting to check out (needed to get my box) just to find out she was on a personal call - yuck!

The room was ok, but the highway noise was loud and the bed was the only thing new. The TV didn't pull out and so you could only watch tv
from the bed.

I am not picky, but I do travel full-time for my company and I stay in the Crownes often...this one has just seen better days.

“Good overnight stop”

Stayed here on the way to Victoria. Decent room, odd shape, but clean and reasonably quiet. Hotel did get after some people running around and yelling fairly late. Would stay here again for an over night pass through.

“Nothing to write home about”

Close to I5 is the main attraction for staying in this hotel. We have been to other Crown Plaza before. This one is rather disappointing. While it is clean and neat, everything seems to be from the 1980 era: dark halls, dark room, old bath room.

“Close to freeway but nicely close to sweel lake oswego”

Booked via Crowne Plaza's web site and got a price that was way lower than any other rate (hotels.com, priceline, etc.). It was so low (about $69 plus tax for the first night, $89 for subsequent nights) that the front desk staff had to confirm with his manager if they were even going to honor it!! Well they did honor it and they upgraded us for FREE to the Governor's Suite!!

The hotel has a cute and small atrium, a small bar, indoor/outdoor pool.

The room was very tidy and well equipped. We were traveling with a small puppy and he was allowed to stay for a small daily fee. Note to small dog owners: our puppy crawled through a small opening between our balcony and the next. We thought he fell over the balcony!!

Nicely close to I-5, but only 5 minutes from quaint Lake Oswego. Skip breakfast at the hotel, go into Lake Oswego. It's a clean and quiet community that seems worlds away from Portland.

All in all, highly recommended, especially if you get a deal...
